In septembre 2009, he opened his first pastry shop, La Pâtisserie des Rêves, rue du Bac, in Paris. A unique and magic place to discover and appreciate great, modern, and non conventional pastries...

The place is not that big, but the design is amazing, at the middle of the shop a round fregirated display stand with big glass bells that recovers the cakes.

against the wall, shelves with the "viennoiserie" and on the other side books, jam, chocolate....

I've been there several times since the openning, I tried the first time what I found... the "Saint Honoré" that is so impressive. so perfect puff pastry, cream, caramelized choux pastry...

I also tried a coffee éclair, the coffee éclair itself is good what I didn't like is the chocolate tube around, too much and not easy to carry and to eat.

the third pastry is the lemon pie.... so-so... it depend how sayed my Finance teacher Bob when someone asks him how is your wife? he answers : comparing to what?

this lemon pie comparing to basics lemon pie is good but comparing to Robuchon lemon pie, Metropole hotel tea time lemon pie or Michalak tea time lemon pie is not really impressive, or is it better to say that the others are impressive!!!!

The Saint honoré is so excellent that each time I have to share a cake it's my 100% sure cake (birthday, home tea time, dessert for friends dinner...) everybody like the saint- honoré...much more easier than chocolate, coffee, fruit, pralines choice where there's always at least someone who don't like the taste or is allergic to something...

on May I went to try the strawberry pastries, with my brother we are strawberries lovers, we are waiting all the year for its season to try the Lenôtre pie, the Pierre Hermé strawberry and pistachio collection "the montebello" ... and this year we tried the Conticini Pie, excellent and the Fraisier really good.

Very often, passing by Rue du bac, I take a Viennoiserie, I have to admitt that Conticini is the god of the "Viennoiserie",

the puff brioche with streusel is good.

The Kouign Amann is amazing and impressive....just a bit too fat and a bit too sweet... but you should not think about those 2 variables while going to a pastry shop!!!

the "Chausson aux Pommes" is my favorite in the world never tried something better, with a kind of crumble on top....

I don't have any picture of it.... too good, always eat it then say F***** the picture...

2 weeks ago I went there for a Saint Honoré, my mum birthday, and I saw a new pastry, a big cherry, and written Fôret noire!!! ouuuups... then I was like waw the amzing idea, there's always a little preserved Cherry over the Forêt noire, but Conticini with his amazing sense of creativity decided to put the foret noire on the cherry!!!

the cherry is made on chocolate and recovered with a red jelly to give the red cherry colour....

the taste is verry good, light, tasting between a Foret noire and a Tiramisu....I was really impressed and amazed by this cake...

price are not that expensive, like all other good and well knowned pasty shop in Paris. Less than Hermé and a bit more than Lenôtre I'll say...

and I highly recommand you to test it.

since few months there's a second shop in Paris in the 16th district with a salon de thé where you can seat. never been there. but it should be the same quality as everuthing is made in the same place outside the shops, on a little factory...
