La mère Germaine
La mère Germaine in Villefranche is a very famous restaurant in the French riviera, it exist since 1938 and it's specially famous for it's bouillabaisse. I went there with friends from Hong kong that wanted absolutelly a Bouillabaisse at Tetou, but Tetou being closed we said ok let's try La Mère Germaine.
The Location is so nice, it's on a fishing port between Nice and Monaco, Waterfront
we ordered a lobster bouillabaisse. they first bring you a dish with all the cooked fish, impressive
they also bring all what goes with the bouillabaisse, the roast piece of bread, the cheese and also the most important is the Rouille, the condiment for the fish soup.
the service at La mère Germaine is very classical french service but I like it on those kind of places.
they bring you a plate with pieces of fish and then they serve you the soup on top of it
this is a perfect bouillabaisse...
they also bring the lobster heads so that you can enjoy the coral of it.
it was really delicious, I loved it.
not to stay on a fishy taste we decided to go for dessert, a classical chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. it was good not Waouuuw but good.

I highly recommand you to try a bouillabaisse there, specially winter time, it's so lovely and warming.
