Since the opening of the Gordon Ramsay restaurant at the Trianon, I'm asking my self should I try it or not.... Not really fan of Ramsay... today I planned to go to the "Chateau de Versailles" for the Murakami Exhibition, my mum said let's have a lunch before or after the exhibition at the Trianon Palace? and I said this will be the great occasion to finally try this restaurant spécially that it's open for lunch only on WE. during the week they are open only for diner and Versailles is not that far but not really next door!!!!

The refurbishement of the Trianon Palace is really nice , and the Gordon Ramsay restaurant specially well designed.

the tables details really nice. we can feel the innovation and constant change, with new line of Feelings by sylvie coquet for some plates, and also last line of J.L coquet for Jaune de Chrome tableware.... Baccarat bougeoir Our fire from Starck.

the bread was good not amazing but good specially the bressaola bread. and the butter well presented in a Sylvie coquet plate.

what about food?

before food let me talk about the service that is really good, young, dynamic and discret team really in harmony as an orchestra.

it was really good and tasty, a mozza ball with a tangerine foam inside, over a crispy piece of bread and uneder the bread a lobster salad.

As starter I ordered à la carte ( a positive point in this restaurant you can eat à la carte or take the menu but not necessary that all the table goes for the menu)

Queue de homard breton, Cuit au lait de mozzarella de « Puglia », Mille coeurs de poireaux, vinaigrette façon bouillabaisse 55€

It was good not outstanding but good and well executed, it's a cold dish even the leeks are cold.

I have to confess that my mother choice was better than mine, she ordered on the lunch Menu :

Tortellini de homard Breton, carpaccio de calamars, têtes frites, consommé de verveine

the ravioli really excellent and the squid carpaccio innovant and good mix with the rest.

As main dish, I had the veal T bone with it's vegetable pie and balsamic 60 years old à la carte

excellent, the veal was unbelievablly soft, I asked it medium well. it was medium well. the pie is delicious and equilibrate. and near the black cube there are white point it's a garlic cream for the veal, delicious.

My mum had the Saint pierre.

good but not that sophisticated as the veal...

after that you receive a kind of trou normand to digest, a sherbet of green apple, celery and ginger. amazing

I had the ice cream and sherbet plate. well presented on a ice bloc with a fruit salad.

cacao and rasberry sherbet excellent. yoghurt ice cream not bad, vanilla so- so.

My mum had the Chocolat Croustillant the house speciallity: Chocolat croustillant, fruit de la passion et praliné noisette that is really amazing.

we were 3 we paid 320 euros with a big evian and a diet coke. good ratio quality/ price.

I highlly recommand this restaurant.
